Progress Awards in Dogdancing
Progress Awards are diffrent to normal competition in a list of obligatory
moves for each division and category and a rutine is restricted by time limit
different for each performance level. Performance levels are three in all
divisions and passing one level in one division has no effect on other division.
There are also no winner and no looser, every team get points for performing
a routine with obligatory moves and gain mark Pass, Merit or Distinction.
Depending on gained maks team may in the particular division progress on
high level.
Team with mark Distinction must progress one level higher in the
particular division.
Team with mark Merit may progress one level higher in the particular
division, but if it is dissatisfied it can do the same level again.
Team with mark Pass also passed the level but it cannot progress
in the particular division. It can try it again next time.
Progress Award is undischarged if handler breakes basic rules (like not using
food and toys), brakes the time limit or doesn't perform any obligatory move.
First level
Time limit: 45 - 75 second
For each obligatory move can be gained 1 - 3 points, voluntary moves aren't
judged.

- Pivot - 1 element of 180 degrees to left or right

in either direction
- Weaving - 1 element demonstrating leg weaving 8 times
- Pivot - 1 element of 180 degrees to left or right in the heel position

- Circles - 1 element where the dog circles the handler in free-close position
- Spins or twists - 2 elements of total of 4 spins or twists in either direction
- Weaving - 1 element leg weaving 8 times
- Backward - 1 element where the dog walk back with the handler covering
4 steps of the handler
- Choreography - 1 element of timing and 1 element making good use of the
ring space

with the dog elements)
- 2 elements each for a minimum of 8 beats of an identifiable rhythm
- 2 elements each for a minimum of 8 beats of an second identifiable rhythm
- 2 elements each for a minimum of 8 beats of an third identifiable rhythm
- Synchronised Movement - 2 elements where both partners use synchronised
movement for a minimum of 8 beats.
- Dog movements - 4 elements from A, B or C level 1
- Choreography - 1 element of ground covering movement that requires both
partners to make good use of the available space.
