All types of breed and crossbreed may enter.
No moves or handling which may be injurious to the dog are allowed.
A dog will be marked for excessive barking unless cued and obviously a part of the routine.
Routines should make good use of the available ring space.
A costume appropriate to the routine is encouraged.
The use of voice and body language is encouraged, handlers may make contact with dogs.
A dog of 12 months of age and over on the day of the competition are eligible for entry; dog of 10 months of age and over on the day of the competition are eligible for entry Progress Awards on 1st level.
Handlers may enter more than one class or division.
Competitors are divided into classes due to their advance level.
A bitch in season is allowed to compete after agreement with organisers.

Dog Dancing Club Czech Republic

It taked rules over english Paws n Music Association except few little changes (about bitches in season, age limit at Progress Awards, no classes yet). It has residence in Prague (capital of the Czech Republic).

Klub Tance se psem Ceske Republiky

This club made up its own rules. It has residence in Blansko.

Categories

1) Juniors (Mladez) - competitiors under the age 18 years
Adults (Dospeli) - competitiors up the age 18 years

2) Novice (Zacatecnici) - team that didn't went maximum thrice whithin 3rd place; handler can use toy and dog must perform any four of five compulsory moves
Intermediate (Pokrocili) - team wthat connot no more compete in class Novice, it can progress here earlier but it cannot return to Novice then; handler mustn't use any treatand a routine must contain all five compulsory moves
Advanced (Elitni) - voluntary class for team that at least once competed in Intermediate and wasn't disqualified, opened only at Championship, team can start in Intermediate afterwards

3) Individual (Jednotlivci) - one handler and one dog
Group (Skupiny) - more handlers and more dogs or one handler and more dogs or one dog and more handlers; no moves are compulsory

Compulsory moves

Spin or Twist - the dog turns around his body axis
Circle round - the dog is running around the handler/ his one leg/ prop
Walking backward - the dog walks backward at least 3 metres
Walking in heel position and Sideways - compulsory is both left and right heel position and walking sideways (walking sideways is not necessary if is performed perfect both heel position) at least 3 metres
Working at the distance - the dog must perform any move at least 3 metres far from the handler and stay in that position at least 5 seconds
